Eiffage Immobilier officially lays the foundation stone of the Revd'O residence in Valenciennes

The official ceremony of first stone of the housing residence «Rev'Do» took place on December 19 in the presence of Armand Audegond, Deputy Mayor of Valenciennes, Julien Ciesielski, Real Estate Director Nord Pas de Calais, Christophe Becuwe, EDF Territorial Development Manager and Luc Féret, Director of VNF Territorial Units. This program carried out by Eiffage Immobilier is taking place in a new exemplary district in terms of carbon emissions just steps from the Scheldt and its marina.

"Rev'Do" is located on Folien Island, a former industrial site located in immediate continuity of the city centre of Valenciennes. This new district is a reference of COP21 where renewable energy will represent 70% of the daily needs. The Energy + Carbon – (E+C-) label will ensure a low carbon footprint by limiting CO2 emissions. Folien Island is destined to become a reference for eco-friendly neighbourhoods and sustainable cities.

This future residence in R+6 of 78 apartments is therefore part of this sustainable development with the use of geothermal on table for the production of heating and domestic hot water. The building will meet the requirements of the E2C2 label, the “NF HABITAT High Environmental Quality” and RT2012 label (-13%).

Work carried out by Eiffage Construction teams began last September for delivery in March 2021.

This operation once again illustrates Eiffage Immobilier’s desire to design the sustainable city of tomorrow by developing low-carbon construction and anticipating the new thermal regulations.
