Objective: Zero accidents
As an employer, Eiffage Construction is responsible for the health and safety of its employees. In this respect, we have a clear objective: to achieve zero accidents. This is set out in the Eiffage Group's Charter of Values and Objectives.
Eiffage Construction has set itself ambitious targets (to reduce the accident frequency rate to 6 in 2025, amongst Eiffage Construction employees + temporary staff) and devotes substantial resources to accident prevention.
Prevention at the heart of our practices
Accident prevention is at the heart of Eiffage Construction's processes and organisation. This is reflected in a number of joint initiatives:
- a stronger role for OSH coordinators on work sites by separating the Prevention and QE functions,
- an in-depth analysis each half-year of entities or SAS in difficulty,
- audits and site visits,
- the introduction of specific training for our employees: new recruits in the works sector, team leaders, etc.,
- Minimum Safety Knowledge (SMS), validated by an attendance certificate awarded after a training course,
- the organisation of Production Prevention Reviews,
- adaptation of workstations and improvements in equipment used to reduce the risk of muscular-skeletal disorders,
- sharing best practices between site superintendents,
- the development of standard safety rules applicable to all employees,
- dialogue with temporary employment agencies,
- induction for subcontractors to ensure that our requirements are taken into account.
Reducing stress and psychosocial risks
For Eiffage Construction, protecting our workforce also means ensuring the well-being of employees and preventing psychosocial risks and stress in the workplace. Eiffage Construction is committed to preventing these situations as early as possible.
To this end, a specific awareness-raising and prevention initiative has been deployed under an agreement signed with the trade unions.
