Transforming uses

The project is ambitious: to extend and transform the former Pépinière royal barracks on rue Laborde (in the heart of Paris) into an office complex, meeting modern requirements for well-being and environmental protection. After 27 months of work, the challenge was boldly met by Eiffage Construction Tertiaire, with Goyer delivering the façades.

The two refurbished buildings and the new 7-storey office building offer 19,000 m² of floor space, together with 4,500 m² of outdoor space.

As well as offices, the complex includes gardens and terraces, a rooftop, a vegetable garden, a fitness room, an auditorium, a restaurant and a library.

Master class in refurbishment

To transform the former barracks, the classical façade of the 19th century «Laborde» building facing the street has been restored to its former glory.

Built in 1947, the building known as «Pépinière» is set at the back of the plot. Its two side wings were demolished to make way for cascading terraces.

The main building was extended onto the inner courtyard to increase its surface area.
