Eiffage is awarded the design and build contract for Frontex’s new headquarters in Warsaw, Poland
Eiffage, through its subsidiary Eiffage Construction, has been awarded the design and build contract by Frontex, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency, for its new Warsaw headquarters in Poland.
The project encompasses the construction of a seven-floor building, with two basement levels, and maintenance of the site for a two-year period. The 69,000 m2 building, located in the Mokotów district of Warsaw will accommodate more than 2,000 Frontex employees on completion.
The project will draw on the expertise of Defor, the Polish subsidiary of Goyer, Eiffage’s customised façade specialist. The Group has had a production unit in Poland for over 35 years.
To fulfil the project’s ambitious environmental goals, Eiffage Construction intends to use lowemission concrete, install rooftop photovoltaic panels and fit a rainwater recovery system in order to reduce the building’s consumption. A geothermal installation will maintain thermal comfort yearround. BREEAM certification is targeted.
In addition, existing green spaces will be kept, trees and shrubs planted to enhance biodiversity and high-quality external amenities built as part of the project, including a garden for employees and a park open to the general public will be put in place.
Work will begin in January 2026 and is scheduled for completion in 2028.
