Real estate in need of renovation
On behalf of Versailles Habitat and Grand Paris Habitat, Eiffage Construction successfully completed the refurbishment of 1096 homes on an occupied site, across 22 buildings and four work phases:
- Phase 1: June 2019 – September 2020
- Phase 2: June 2020 – July 2021
- Phase 3: January 2021 – December 2021
- Phase 4: October 2021 – April 2022.
The works began in June 2019, including insulating the building envelope (façades, external joinery, waterproofing), creating or improving ventilation in the apartments, compliance work on apartment electricity systems, replacing individual gas boilers, improving the appearance of the communal areas, as well as treating the surroundings and refurbishing the halls.
The environmental labels obtained for this project, BBC Effinergie and HPE Rénovation, are aligned with our ambitious environmental approach.

Ten monumental frescoes depicting the nature and work of Bernard de Jussieu
Ten renowned mural artists – Aryz, Eron, Jade Rivera, Mona Caron, Pastel, Sainer, Seth, Telmo Miel, and Waone – were welcomed in residence and were inspired by the themes of nature, animality and the history of the site to pay tribute to the famous 17th-century French botanist, Bernard de Jussieu, and his work on plant and animal species in this eponymous district. These monumental frescoes are part of an area infused with market gardening, horticulture and landscaping.
These projects are real acts of commitment, honouring the district and its residents by bringing art into their daily lives and transforming their living space into a genuine rendezvous for contemporary artistic creation, contributing directly to the development of the city's cultural heritage and echoing one of the main thrusts of the urban project: «Versailles, ville-nature» (a city of nature).
Eiffage Construction's involvement in this project is aligned with its mission as a corporate citizen. Strongly committed to CSR, Eiffage Construction's ambition is to create projects that drive social change such as the Bernard de Jussieu district, which introduces art into the daily lives of its residents and transforms their living space into a genuine rendezvous for contemporary artistic creation, contributing directly to the development of the city's cultural heritage.

Refurbishment that rhymes with improving the quality of life
The aim of this major refurbishment project on a 57,000 m2 apartment complex dating from the 1960s was to improve thermal performance to meet the current aspirations of residents, both in terms of the building itself (refurbishment of façades, thermal insulation, etc.), and the external environment (better distinction between public and private spaces, parking, lighting, etc.).
What is more, the ten frescoes have made a major contribution to the town's cultural heritage, transforming this living space into a genuine rendezvous for contemporary artistic creation.
