Redefining access to healthcare in Essonne
In 2020, to renew its technical facilities and maintain a high-performance medical offering, the Nord Essonne Hospital Trust received support from the French government and the EPA Paris-Saclay. It awarded a consortium led by Eiffage Construction the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the new Paris-Saclay Hospital.
Its aim was to develop its research centre – benefiting from the industrial and university ecosystem of the Plateau de Saclay – and to complement the local healthcare provision in Bures-sur-Yvette, Orsay, Longjumeau and Juvisy. The medical, surgical and obstetrics departments covering these towns were consolidated in the new hospital.
