Skyscraping wood

The Sensations wooden block is part of the ÉcoCité Strasbourg Métropole Deux Rives development project.

This exceptional ensemble is a low-carbon wooden construction demonstrator of great height, the largest in France at the time of its inauguration, 38 m high.

It consists of 3 buildings with central wooden cores, such as floors, load-bearing walls and facade (CLT laminated timber). The column-beam structure is glulam.

The largest building has 11 levels and the other two 8 levels. They welcome 146 homes and shops at the foot of the building.
