Our Pradeau Morin teams carried out major restructuring work at 10/12 place de la Bourse in Paris, combining conservation of the architectural heritage with energy efficiency.

Restored by Pradeau Morin, acting as general contractor, 10/12 place de la Bourse comprises three stone office buildings, the interior structure of which is made of wood, built at the end of the 18th century. After 25 months of work, our teams delivered these prestigious buildings in mid-June 2023. The aim of this project was to modernise these office buildings, formerly occupied by the Obs newspaper, to add flexibility and modularity to the new workspaces.

Built in the 18th century, this complex of 3 office buildings (R-2 to R+7) with a total floor area of 6,200 m2 recently underwent extensive refurbishment with the aim of rationalising the spaces and adding a modern image to the complex, while restoring and enhancing its historic and heritage character.

Restoration work on the facade has enabled the openings, porches and shopfronts on the ground floor to be reconfigured, along with the railings and ironwork. Inside, a grand staircase and a closed glass roof were brought up to date and integrated into the architectural scheme. The roofs were also renovated and made accessible via roof-top terraces.

Our Pradeau Morin teams faced a number of challenges during these structural works, including the presence of large quantities of lead on site, the need to raise one of the buildings, and the presence of historic wooden structures (walls and floors) that had to be preserved and reinforced.
At peak times, 100 site workers were required.

As a result of this major refurbishment, the project is now aiming to achieve HQE 2015 Excellent, BREEAM Very Good and Effinergie BBC Rénovation environmental certification.

We would like to congratulate our teams on this exceptional project!
