Low-carbon concrete and landscaped areas: Eiffage Immobilier builds a new 7,000 sqm mixed-use development in Amiens

In the Vallée des Vignes urban development zone in Amiens, our Eiffage Immobilier teams are building Îlot G, a mixed-use development that will house offices, shops and restaurants on more than 15,000 sqm of land. What makes it special? The use of concrete with a reduced carbon footprint on one of the two buildings making up the project.

And the concrete has just been poured by our Eiffage Construction teams! Cast on precast slabs, 270 cubic meter of low carbon footprint concrete made from CEM III cement were required to create the 1,850 sqm floor of one of the buildings. Three mechanical strength test reports were carried out, compared to conventional concrete. A real innovation that reduces the carbon impact of this site!

The second building, which will house 4 restaurants on the ground floor and the offices of the Fédération Française du Bâtiment and the company EXPERT RH, represents nearly 4,600 sqm of usable space.

Designed by Richard Architecture, the operation is conceived with simple and legible volumes. The two buildings will have the same architectural style in order to integrate harmoniously into the site and respect its coherence with the surrounding urban landscape. It will be able to accommodate a large number of visitors while creating a pleasant, heavily landscaped area (more than 4000 sqm of space).

The project is being carried out in synergy with Eiffage Immobilier, Eiffage Construction - in line with our unique builder-developer model - and with Eiffage Route, which is carrying out the roadworks, earthworks, networks and green spaces.

Congratulations to our teams for this successful stage of the project - up to 30 workers are involved at peak times - which is leading up to the delivery scheduled for the end of 2022, and thank you to our partners!
