Eiffage Immobilier and Récipro-Cité inaugurate a new intergenerational residence Cocoon'Ages®!

On 7 October, Eiffage Immobilier and Récipro-Cité inaugurated the Cocoon'Ages® intergenerational residence in Ivry-sur-Seine, in the presence of Philippe Boussou, mayor of Ivry-sur-Seine, Métin Yavuz, chairman of the Valophis group, Etienne Passani, managing director of Eiffage Immobilier in the Ile-de-France region, David Meynard, Récipro-Cité's head of development, and Doumia Boukersi, a resident of Cocoon'Ages®.

With the loss of social ties, the increase in life expectancy and the decline in purchasing power, intergenerational housing is now a major lever for improving the quality of life. Aware of these challenges, Eiffage Immobilier and Récipro-Cité, a social engineering company specialising in intergenerational mix, have developed the Cocoon'Ages® offer, which combines adapted architecture (accessibilitý, ergonomic housing, convivial shared spaces to encourage exchanges) with a Management-Animation offer in order to encourage exchanges and solidaritý between the residents, all generations included.

The Ivry-sur-Seine residence, imagined by the architect Gilles Engelmann, is actually a rehabilitation project of the 5,640m² of the former Jean Rostand hospital. This rehabilitation was a real technical challenge for the teams who succeeded in creating a warm and friendly intergenerational residence of 69 homes. To date, 61 units have been allocated.

The residence also has a "Maison des projets", the last of which is equipped with a solarium and a vast landscaped terrace offering a panoramic view of Ivry and its surroundings, not to mention the loggia kitchen and shared outdoor spaces.
On the ground floor of the buildings, 1,000m2 of commercial space will be set up to develop a real neighbourhood life for residents and users.

In addition, the Cocoon'Ages® project includes a manager-animator who will encourage "living together" and accompany the residents in their projects within the structure. Her presence will help to create relationships of solidarity between neighbours and residents of the neighbourhood, all generations included.

It will also help to coordinate actions between the occupants to improve their purchasing power, share activities (cooking workshops, gardening, etc.), and to improve the quality of life. Aware of these challenges, Eiffage Immobilier and Récipro-Cité, a social engineering company specialising in intergenerational mix, have developed the Cocoon'Ages® offer which combines adapted architecture (accessibilitý, ergonomic housing, convivial shared spaces to encourage exchanges) with a Management-Animation offer in order to encourage exchanges and solidaritý between the residents, all generations included.

The programme echoes our ambitious environmental approach. The environmental labels targeted are NF Habitat HQE Excellent and Label BBC Effinergie. The building will be connected to the urban heating network of the city of Ivry.

Congratulations to our teams in Île-de-France, who are committed to "living together"!
