One year after winning the reconstruction contract for the Collège Georges Brassens in Villeneuve-le-Roi (94), our Eiffage Construction Equipements teams are launching the construction work! The 8000sqm project targets the energy performance label Passivhaus. It would be a first in the department for a building of this type. The thermal, air tightness and overall system performance targets are also very ambitious, which puts the operation in line with our ambitious environmental approach.
Imagined by the architectural firm Semon-Rapaport, the operation consists of the demolition and reconstruction of a college of 600 students with an R+2 building and an R+3 building, including classrooms and Practical Works, a restoration space, a gymnasium with adjoining rooms and outdoor sports board, and functional housing 100% wooden structure.
In addition to its timber construction, the project is an integral part of our ambitious environmental approach thanks to the integration of nature and islands of freshness, the management of stormwater on the plot, the control of energy consumption, the labels and certifications referred to:
- HQE label sustainable building excellent level
- Biosourced label level 2
- E+C label- level E3C1
This is the first operation of this type aimed at the demanding PassivHaus label, in particular on the criteria of airtightness. The other challenges lie in the thicknesses of insulation and related methodologies, unpublished (30cm) and in the construction in occupied site, in cohabitation with the students and staff supervisors.
Built for the department, the construction of the college is done in synergy with Clévia, the brand dedicated to climate and energy engineering of Eiffage Energie Systèmes.
Delivery is scheduled for September 2023. We give all our energy to the teams involved and thank our partners:
