During the ceremony of Mipim Awards, the Brussels project Îlot Sacré realized by Valens, subsidiary of Eiffage Benelux, was awarded in the category of the best residential project.

Located in the center of Brussels, the project Îlot Sacré builds by Valens and designed by architects' DDS office + for the promoter Galika Human Estate, results from a will to liven up a historic part of the city to recreate a new friendly district.
The new 8 buildings, of a total surface of 6 000m ², are characterized by the diversity of housing and services offered :

  • 22 student housing (studios or 4 rooms)
  • 29 apartments from studio to 3 rooms,
  • 2 individual houses,
  • apartment house and common laundry,
  • 2 autonomous buildings with a commercial ground floor,
  • 24 underground parking spaces and 65 locations for bikes.

Each of 8 buildings differs thanks to their contemporary architecture and the use of noble and traditional materials - white brick, blue stone, slate roofs. They also develop original volumes and discreet terraces, with a view of the Brussels roofs.
The construction of this complex of 20 million euros ended in October, 2017 after 2 and a half years of works of a very big complexity.
