Eiffage Construction plants the first tree for the future headquarters of Crédit Agricole Centre Ouest in Limoges

Our Eiffage Construction teams have just symbolically planted the first tree of the future headquarters of Crédit Agricole Centre Ouest (CACO) in the presence of Emile Roger Lombertie, Mayor of Limoges, Fabrice Doucet, Vice-President of Limoges Métropole, Bruno Tardieu, President of CACO, and Frédéric Baraut, Director of CACO.

Located on the banks of the Vienne river, the project covers an area of 11,000sqm with two underground parking levels and garden terraces.

The project, designed by architects AIA and BVL Architecture, has strong environmental ambitions and is aiming for HQE (High Environmental Quality) building certification at the Exceptional level, as well as E+C- level E2C1 and Biodivercity labels.

The construction method chosen for this building is a mixed wood and concrete structure, with Douglas fir posts and beams, and the reuse of false floor slabs. Concrete bricks with porcelain inclusions, produced in collaboration with the porcelain manufacturer Bernardaud, will decorate the facades of the ground floor and the reception hall. The upper floors will be covered with curtain walls with a half-timbered effect.

The future building, which will house 350 Crédit Agricole employees, will have a central patio, a planted terrace on the first floor, an inter-company restaurant and an indoor auditorium with 300 seats. Outside, a 130-seat amphitheatre will overlook a 2,000-square-metre park with meadow areas, flowerbeds and the planting of over 80 trees.

As part of a CSR approach, the site will recycle 50% of the waste produced and will be carried out by 80% local companies.

Alongside Eiffage Construction, the Eiffage Group's expertise is involved in this large-scale project, with Eiffage Génie Civil for the special foundations, Clévia for the HVAC work and Eiffage Route for the roads and other networks.

Structural work will begin in January 2022, with delivery scheduled for summer 2023.
