Eiffage Construction delivers first phase of Carrefour Boisseuil shopping centre in Haute-Vienne

After starting construction work in September 2016, Eiffage Construction Limousin successfully delivered the first phase of the existing gallery refurbishment and the extension of the Carrefour Boisseuil shopping centre.

Outside, the crystalline façades recall the softness of Limoges porcelain. The shopping centre has a new main entrance and two side entrances. The car park has been restructured and now has space for 1144 cars, and extensive planting has been added.

Inside the gallery is now more luminous thanks to new rooftop light wells; it is also more spacious with additional relaxation areas. The new layout provides customers with redesigned shop walkways. The new centre will have a total surface area of 20,000 m² compared with its current 6500 m². In this first phase, an additional 20 shops have been created in the considerably enlarged west gallery. Eventually, the food hall will be three times larger bringing the centre’s total number of shops and restaurants to 70.

Eiffage Construction is involved as the general contractor for all trades for this major project that has involved all areas of expertise of the design and works teams in order to meet the project owner’s expectations within the given constraints (work in an occupied site, night work, rigorous works phasing, etc.).

The first phase is now open to the public, and the second phase is slated for opening in November.
