All of the regional Golden Key ceremonies have taken place, and our Eiffage Construction teams can be proud of the two awards they have received: in Occitanie, the project to create a boarding school and refectory for the Gide and Guynemer high schools in Uzès (30) won the regional Clé d'or; in Bourgogne Franche-Comté, the special "environmental performance" award was given to the project to refurbish the Museum of Arts and Sports in Nevers (58).

Historically rich, with significant heritage conservation, and at the same time presenting high technical challenges, the construction project for the boarding school and refectory for the Gide and Guynemer high schools in Uzès was delivered in early 2021.

Prior to the works, preventive archaeological excavations were carried out by INRAP, which uncovered entire quarters from the Roman period and a mosaic of approximately 60 sqm in an exceptional state of preservation, dating from the 1st century BC. Carried out for the Occitanie region, the operation consists of the construction of a 230-bed boarding school, a kitchen capable of producing 850 meals, and a 350 sqm activity room, all spread over 3 buildings.

The word of EGF BTP:
"The technical prowess that Eiffage Construction had to deploy in order to build the new boarding school and refectory of the Charles Gide multi-purpose art trades school (3 buildings in total), demolish the old police station while preserving its facade, and rehabilitate part of the premises right in the heart of Uzès, particularly impressed the jury. [...] The many technical complications required the Eiffage teams to do a great deal of work in terms of synthesis, management, phasing and organisation, as well as mastering the engineering and developing a well thought-out industrial strategy to meet these challenges and, in the end, achieve a successful and harmonious architectural whole"

The second award won by our teams was the special "environmental performance" prize for the rehabilitation of the Museum of Arts and Sports in Nevers (58). Delivered in 2019, the modernisation project was carried out under a CREM (design-build-servicing-maintain) contract. It consisted of :
- the energy renovation of the facades (1500 sqm of ITE)
- replacement of all the bay windows (2000 sqm of joinery)
- rearrangement of the hall with relocation of the main entrance
- the creation of a small café-concert room (130 sqm)
- the extension of the cafeteria
- the installation of a lift
- the installation of green roof terraces

A word from EGF BTP:
"Eiffage Construction has particularly distinguished itself thanks to the creation of a parietodynamic wall, known as a "trombe" wall, which has made it possible both to greatly exceed the energy saving objectives set out in the contract and to give an architectural signature to the building, which was suffering from this. [In terms of CSR, the project involved 3,500 hours of social integration, the recruitment of a young works manager who began his professional experience on this site, the use of 70% local subcontractors (only one was not from the Nièvre region) and an accident frequency rate of zero"

Congratulations to all the teams involved in these two great projects, and thanks to all our partners!
