Eiffage Construction was awarded a contract by the Gecina Group to renovate the former Peugeot headquarters, renamed L1ve, located at 75 avenue de la Grande Armée in Paris. The renovation of the 33,500 sq. m. of floor space on 6,950 sq. m. of land was focused on
One of the many challenges of this renovation was the conservation of the unique architecture of the site, in particular the monumental structure of the large gallery on the ground floor and its 100 m long façade of prefabricated load-bearing concrete frames
In addition to being iconic and impressive, this major renovation is exemplary in terms of sustainable development.
It includes :
In total, more than 60,000 KgCO2 were saved on this site!
These characteristics allow L1ve to aim for the HQE Bâtiment Durable level Exceptional, LEED® Gold minimum, WELL, BiodiverCity® and WiredScore® environmental certifications and labels.
A garden open to the restaurant, a terrace shared from the office floors, an accessible rooftop and multiple balcony terraces: with its 2,800 m² of planted surfaces, L1ve honours biodiversity at all levels, offering users multiple openings to the outside.
From now on, the building is in dialogue with the city. In addition to the large bay windows on the Avenue de la Grande Armée, a remarkable work has been carried out on the street side Pergolesi, where the silent façade has disappeared to make way for a transparent ground floor. The brick and bronze facade has even been moved forward to align with the street.
