Eiffage wins the contract for the Dassault Systèmes Campus in Vélizy-Villacoublay

Eiffage, through its subsidiary Eiffage Construction, recently won the contract as a general contractor to create a 27,600 sqm extension to the Dassault Systèmes Campus in Vélizy-Villacoublay and Meudon (Paris region).

Led by site owners Covivio and Crédit Agricole Assurances, this extension project involves building a new addition to the existing 69,300 sqm. Covivio is renewing its trust in Eiffage, which built the Dassault Systèmes headquarters’ first four buildings (56,500 sqm) in 2008 and a fifth building (12,800 sqm) in 2016.

Arte Charpentier Architectes has designed this new five-storey block around a central patio featuring a glass atrium and a monumental staircase. Future occupants will enjoy numerous meeting and relaxation spaces, including an auditorium, lunch areas and a fitness space, with access to 700 parking spaces spread over 3 basement levels.

This ambitious project is targeting Breeam 2016 Very Good, NF HQE 2016 Excellent and E+C- Level E2C1 certifications. To reach these objectives, in addition to photovoltaic panels on the roof and connection to an urban heating network ensuring that 50% of the building’s energy needs are met from renewable sources, the project includes extremely demanding technical requirements for the building envelope.

Goyer, the Eiffage group company specialised in designing and fitting bespoke façades, has developed an alternative glazing design whose life cycle shows a reduction of the building’s carbon footprint while retaining thermal performance equivalent to triple glazing.

Logistics and site management will pose the biggest challenges for this project taking place in the densely populated Inovel Parc business district. The Eiffage Construction teams will have 24 months to successfully complete this 100% BIM operation for delivery in the first half of 2023.
