Eiffage Construction won the design-realization contract for the restructuring and extension of the Sens Hospital Centre (89). This large-scale operation of nearly 11,000 m² has the objective of allowing a better management of patients in a logic of flow optimization within a project with ambitious energy performance.
This project will include on 2 floors and a basement:
- the construction of a Women, Mother and Child, hemodialysis sector and a medical home on a floor area of 8,750 m²,
- the restructuring and extension of the Emergency Department to bring together adult and pediatric emergencies over 2,230 m².
The grouping of services associated with the Women, Mother and Child Pole will offer multidisciplinary care of all pediatric, surgical and medical specialties. This new pole will improve the lives of patients and professionals by putting an end to the constraints imposed by the remoteness of the various services.
The adult emergency department will be relocated close to this pole, the paediatric and gynecological emergencies will be shared, allowing a better management of patients.
With a view to efficiency, control of surfaces and corresponding operating costs, the architectural party integrates a logic of optimization of workflows and work organization in order to improve the functional proximity.
For this project, Eiffage Construction is a representative of a group made up of the Group-6 architecture agency and the following partners: OTEIS (BET TCE), Inddigo (Environment Council), Acoustique France (Acoustic Council), CGX Aero (Helistation Council).
The energy performance for the construction of the new building is very ambitious for hospital use. The energy design of the grouping allows to reach the level CEP - 24% and the level E3 of the label E+/C-. These objectives are achieved without the addition of decarbonized photovoltaic solar panel systems.
The study phase will run from January to July 2020, with work scheduled to start in September 2020, with delivery in October 2022.
