New design-realization operation of wood housing for Eiffage Construction teams in Salon de Provence

Eiffage Construction has won the design-build market for a wooden social housing residence! This new residence named Villa Doma will replace a set of units deemed obsolete that will be demolished by the company Chastagner and reconstructed in collaboration with two companies specialised in dry industry, Savare and HVA Concept, all three subsidiaries of the Eiffage group.

The demolition and reconstruction of the Villa Doma is part of the plan to renovate the heritage of Adoma, the first national operator of accompanied housing, to gradually transform rooms into studios with the necessary comfort.

Eiffage Construction is a key player in the dry sector that has been involved in the development of wood construction for more than ten years, and has been appointed to carry out this design and construction operation with the WOA (Wood Oriented Architecture), a specialist in the design of wood frame projects, the design office TPFi, the demolition company Chastagner, HVA concept and Savare.

he Villa Doma will comprise 219 dwellings spread over three buildings in R + 3 with a total area of 4550 m². The project will take place in several phases at a busy downtown site.
Adoma therefore opted for a type 2 in 1 reconstruction (2d wood structure associated with hva prefabricated cabins) for its many advantages such as:

  • Reduced construction times: no drying time, factory prefabricated materials ready to be assembled upon delivery to the site,
  • Less energy consumption,
  • A reduction in nuisances due to less use of machines on construction sites,
  • Loss and waste reduction through the use of recyclable materials.

Starting in the summer of 2019, the team will work for 32 months for delivery in March 2022.
