Eiffage Construction Confluences took advantage of LOU* Rugby club’s 4 monthes of offseason to renovate and modernize Matmut Stadium Gerland before the next TOP 14 matches.
Since september 1st, the athletes and supporters can enjoy this new place, made by Tony Garnier in 1919 and listed as a National Monument, whose got a real rejuvenation treatment : the facades have been resumpted and circulations are now easier throughout the stadium.
For a better comfort of the public, the 2 side galleries have been entirely rebuilt, higher boxes have been renovated and are served by panoramic elevators.
« Bars matches » have been created in this new galleries : conviviality spaces opened on wide terraces, they can welcome, outside matchdays, workshops, lectures etc…
A challenge that Eiffage Construction Confluences has met !
