On May 22, 2019, Eiffage Construction officially laid the first stone of the new boarding school of nearly 300 beds that will be shared by Gide and Guynemer high schools. This is an operation combining rehabilitation and new that is carried out in the enclosure of the former gendarmerie of Uzès.
The Occitanie region has entrusted Eiffage Construction, a representative of the group comprising SPIE mission, Ghezzi Menuiserie, Caizergues and Pertuis froid, with the construction of an 11,300 m² internship in the heart of Uzes.
This establishment will create a link between the two technical schools Gide and Guynemer in order to strengthen their national and international influence.
Extended on 3 levels, it will consist of 288 beds, a gym, a medico-social pole and a school restaurant that can accommodate 850 rationnaires common to the two schools.
Designed by Tourre Sanchis Architectes, it is a new construction and rehabilitation operation since the building will be carried out in a former gendarmerie previously deactivated and demolished with conservation of the façades in rough concrete which will be supported by a metal portico the time of realization.
This operation illustrates the synergy and knowledge-make teams of Eiffage Construction to propose and implement the latest techniques in order to revive obsolete places and to offer users the best conditions of comfort and performance.
