In Vermenoux, our Eiffage Construction Bourgogne Franche-Comté teams have completely rebuilt the fish farm facilities used by students at the Château-Chinon agricultural college. In addition to the main building, which was deconstructed and rebuilt in its place (850 sqm on the ground with foundations on piles), no fewer than 10 outdoor pools measuring 30 x 3 m were refurbished.
The fish farm is both an educational site for the students and an economic issue linked to the direct sale of products to the general public. Respecting the deadlines was essential in this project, so as not to miss the trout reproduction and hatching period.
The work on this project, located in a classified site in the heart of the Morvan regional park, took just over a year to complete, with the inauguration taking place last June and the students taking over at the start of the new school year in September.
A complex VRD study was carried out during the preparation phase to ensure that there would be sufficient flow to operate the pools in all seasons. The installations are based on the banks of the Yonne river, with water being drawn from the river and a spring to operate the aquaculture section.
The operation, carried out with STUDIO LOSA and Aquassys for the Burgundy Franche Comté region, was carried out in synergy with the teams from Eiffage Energie Systèmes through its subsidiaries Clemessy - a brand dedicated to industry - and Clévia - a brand dedicated to climate and energy engineering.
