On 8 June, Eiffage Construction inaugurated the Aquacia aquatic centre in Combourg in the presence of Michel Vannier, Vice-President of the Community of Communes of Romantic Brittany (CCBR)Jean-Luc Chenut, President of the Departmental Council, Catherine St-James, Regional Councillor, Jean-Louis Tourenne Senator, Joël Le Besco, Mayor of Combourg and many participants who came for the event.
After two years of work, this new aquatic centre has officially opened its doors to the public.
It now offers a swimming pool of 25 meters and 5 swimming lines, a paddling pool of 33 m², a play and learning pool and a wellness area with sauna, hammam, jacuzzi...
The old swimming pool, with an area of about 2,200 m², was demolished to become the new 25-metre outdoor Nordic pool. There is also a Pentagliss, a solarium, and a mineral beach.
The delivery of this project took place in two phases: the part covered in December 2018 and the northern basin in early May 2019.
This complex was built as part of a partnership agreement signed between the CCBR (community of municipalities of the Romantic Brittany) and Exterimmo (subsidiary of the deposit box). Eiffage Construction Ille Et Vilaine was a representative of the Design Construction group.
The BBM Agency provided the project management and Engie the multi-technical maintenance. The CCBR entrusted the management of this center to Recrea.
This new major project is a new illustration of the expertise of the Eiffage Construction teams in the realization of numerous sports equipment in the recent line of the Aquapôle d'Amiens swimming pool that will be delivered on the 28th next June or the Handball house delivered at the beginning of the year.
