2 projects for 1 client: Duchêne (Eiffage Benelux), is carrying out the works for Gaming1 and the Grand Casino in Namur

Jackpot for the Belgian company Duchêne, a subsidiary of Eiffage Benelux: our teams are currently carrying out two projects for Ardent Group, a Liege-based group active in various activities including technological development for entertainment (gambling, casino, online and offline sports betting), real estate, etc. The group's activities include the interior design of the offices of Gaming1 (Belgium's leading gambling company) and the extension and renovation of the Grand Casino in Namur. These projects began in February and March respectively.

Our Belgian teams are very proud to carry out these two projects, which attest to the confidence of Ardent Group:
"What is exceptional is that we are carrying out two separate projects simultaneously for the same client, Ardent Group. In addition to the renovation of the casino - a major project - we are also working with Reynders on the interior design of the Gaming1 offices in the Guillemins district." Jean-Sébastien Michel, Building Director at Duchêne.

The Gaming1 project consists of the execution and production of the interior fittings of offices spread over 7 levels, in synergy with its sister company Reynders, also a subsidiary of Eiffage Benelux.
One of the special features of this project is the philosophy that the client and the architect wanted to spread in these offices: a new way of working that promotes collaboration and freedom, conceived by the design company we are OOO and the client itself, Ardent Group. Agile workspaces, meeting rooms adapted to different needs, meeting and brainstorming areas, etc. will be spread over 2 buildings, not to mention a Gaming1 Café!
Delivery of this project is scheduled for late spring 2021.

Concerning the extension of more than 2400sqm and the renovation of the Grand Casino de Namur, the works consist of :

  •     The extension of the hotel, which will accommodate 50 new rooms, new meeting rooms and a new brasserie on the ground floor;
  •     The complete renovation of the existing hotel and the creation of a fitness and balneo area as well as two new outdoor terraces;
  •     The transformation of the existing brasserie into a poker room;
  •     The complete restoration and upgrading of the "Hobé" room, which will host the Belgian Poker Championship in November 2021.

The EPB (energy performance of the building) of the existing structure of the casino, which represents almost 1300sqm spread over 3 levels, will also be brought up to standard.
In terms of architecture, the building is modern, designed in different blocks superimposed by the Bahg firm, with roof terraces that are partly planted and with glazed railings, aluminium exterior joinery, and facades that are mainly rendered over insulation with an imitation brick look.
These large-scale works will be completed in 22 months, with delivery scheduled for the end of 2022.

The Duchêne carpentry workshop has good prospects, as it will be producing a large part of the furniture for the Gaming1 offices, as well as all the furniture for the rooms, the reception desks and various fittings in the new brasserie at the Grand Casino in Namur.

Congratulations to the Belgian teams for these 2 great projects!
