Antwerpse Bouwwerken, subsidiary of Eiffage Benelux, realizes a record of casting continuous concrete on the construction site of a silo of Daddy Cool in the port of Antwerp

Antwerpse Bouwwerken poured the biggest quantity of concrete continuously of Europe in 2018 on the construction site Daddy Cool located on the Antwerp Gas Terminal's oil site of the port of Antwerp.

The operation Daddy Cool consists in realizing the biggest tank of the world of liquid butane, being able to contain 135.000m ³.
 
From April 27th at 4 am in the morning until April 28th at 4 pm, 7200 m ³ were poured into the paving stone of circular foundation of 84.4m of diameter.
Thirty six workers of AB contributed to the implementation of the concrete in continuous phase. In the help two pumps to concrete and of three vibrators, this concrete was propelled and vibrated according to the rule book.
From May 22nd till June 1st, AB also realized a continuous casting of the walls of 35m high in slippery cofferings on a circumference of 265m of length around the biggest silo of Europe.
