Pyramide d’Or 2019 : Eiffage Immobilier awarded the National Grand Prix for Hypérion’s mixed operation

Eiffage Immobilier received last night the Grand Prix National des Pyramides d'Or organised by the Federation of Real Estate Promoters (FPI) for its Hyperion program. This award rewards the implementation of Eiffage Immobilier’s know-how in favour of a resolutely innovative, modern and sustainable project.

Led by Eiffage Immobilier and carried out by Eiffage Construction, the Hypérion project designed by architect Jean-Paul Viguier is part of the new Euratlantique district. The Hyperion project is supported by ADEME’s Future Investment Programme (AIP). This joint program integrates housing, offices and businesses. The central identity element is the 17-storey Hyperion tower, which will be the highest residential tower in France in a wooden structure.

Consisting of 1,500 pieces of wood from local forest production, this tower will store the equivalent of 1,000 tonnes of CO2, or a volume comparable to the CO2 emissions from the energy consumption of such a building for more than 9 years.

A true showcase of Eiffage Immobilier’s commitments and expertise for sustainable construction that serves the local economy, the Hypérion project has become a “Industrial Demonstrator of the Sustainable City”, and a strong symbol of the emergence of new low-carbon constructive modes.
For its architectural and technical prowess, Hypérion, already awarded with the Prix de la mixité Urbaine des Pyramides d'Argent 2019 Nouvelle Aquitaine and the Grand Prix Régional, thus wins the ultimate distinction, the Grand Prix National des Pyramides d'Or 2019.
